For the past ten years, I've quietly advocated alongside friends, church family, and neighbors - sitting at IEP tables, reading evaluations, and helping parents understand their rights.
It's always been a dream to open those doors wider - so any family in our community can secure the free and appropriate public education their child is entitled to.
That dream became JEM Advocates: a small, Texas woman-owned practice rooted in care, honesty, and showing up.
I'm Sunnye Garza, founder of JEM Advocates. With 10 years of advocacy and 20 years in special education, I walk alongside Houston-area families through every step of the IEP process.
